COVID-19 vaccines now available for children ages 6 months and older

COVID-19 vaccines are available for children ages 6 months and older following authorization from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). If you would like your child to be vaccinated through UI Health Care, you can schedule a vaccination by visiting MyChart or uihc.org/schedule-your-covid-19-vaccination.

Slowing the spread of COVID-19 two years after the pandemic's start

The severity of COVID-19 in patients has seemed to ease with the arrival of the omicron variant - nearly two years after the initial virus - and eased further in patients who received a COVID-19 vaccination. Although COVID-19 infections did increase, the hospital credits a large percentage of vaccinated individuals as evidence of a community-wide effort to slow the spread.
