The University of Iowa is preparing to sunset select Human Resources policies implemented during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic in compliance with the Board of Regents, State of Iowa, lifting the COVID-19 State of Emergency in 2021.
These policies include:
- COVID-19 leave requests (80 additional hours of sick leave), which will end on June 30, 2022
- Professional and Scientific and Merit staff temporary hour limits will return to pre-pandemic norms (780 hours) on July 1, 2022
